Tonight Was Day 5 For Us. I Took An Egg Of Each Color(Blue, Brown And Light Brown) And The kids And I Saw Veins! We'll Do All Of Them In Two Nights.iI'm Just Glad I Could See Into The Darker Eggs. (And Does Anyone Know Why The First Letter Of Every Word Is Capitalized? I'm Using My Phone, But This Is A First.)

Just heard peeps when I got home from work, two of 26 have pipped! First time hatching, and I had to share, goodness knows I'll probably be up all night! I thought I had til Friday at the earliest!

What day are you on? It's my first hatch ever too and I'm worried about that happening. My humidity is dropped to 35% tonight so I'll have to fill the 3rd well. I'm on day 17. So if they pip early I definitely need more humidity. Were you able to get the humidity up? Good luck.

my first successful hatch started on the 18th day. Once your eggs start to pip it should help boost you humidity as well especially once a couple hatch

So far the humidity is staying at 65-70%, used a damp paper towel as well. It was tougher to regulate when I removed the 2 plugs on top of the Vader (inky-Vader as my 3yo says!). A few more pips this am, we're going to get out of the house awhile before we both stare them to death lol!

Just candled my eggs..... All but 1 are good and the one that isn't is one I'm not sure about so I have left it in!!!!! Sooo excited... Could see the little dots!!

Ahah my duck eggs have been in the bator for about 29 hours, and i couldn't help but candle them ahah of course i hardly saw anything but i couldn't help myself hope they hatch

Can you say "girl, you're outta your dang mind"? My hubs can lol! 13 so far (most while I was at work last night!) I guess my chicken math was off!

Tonight was day 7 for us so I called my friend over (the one I'm giving the chicks to) and she brought her three kids and I had my three and we sat in a circle on the floor of the living room and candled all 13 of them. The kids ooh'd and aahh'd over the veins and then there were squeals of excitement with they saw the embryos swimming around. We had so much fun. I expected to see a quitter or two but ended up with only one egg which looked to be simply infertile. 12 out of 13 is pretty good, so I'll have them all over on day 14 and we'll do it again.
