My husband and I have had our flock for a full year now. We buy bantam chickens and khaki Campbell ducks. We both know the logic of chicken and duck math. You multiply... and we have loved every second of it. This spring we added 10 more assorted chicks from tractor supply. They are about 4 weeks old. Pretty sure a lot of them are cockerell. This is why we started ordering from purely poultry female only website. We have gotten the most beautiful chicks from them. We have also ordered 10 more to be coming may 14. So our flock will be multipling by more. We both have stressful jobs so we wanted something to entertain us when home. And they do. I'm a registered nurse and Jeff my husband is a train engineer and jack of all trades. Our lives are blessed and we make it a point to share that. We have 4 rescue dogs and a beautiful and kind 25 year old son. We live in our just built retirement home on our dream property we call white birch acres. Fully treed with white birch trees and ferns. Our heaven♡

G'Day from down under Willy... :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
