Finally!!! My Modern Brown Red Modern has lain(Laid?) an egg!
For the past 2 weeks, all I’ve gotten was frozen eggs! But finally this egg didn’t freeze! I’m so excited! It’s going in the incubator later this week!! Plus, it’ll be a Lemon Blue baby if it hatches!!!!!

If you can peg the time she laid, check again daily at that time or shortly thereafter. Hope that you get more to incubate. Is the rooster mating her ? Some slow down in the short days of winter.

Yes, my rooster is breeding her, and the other hen with him, but only the one is laying. I can’t peg the time until this weekend, as I’m in school during the day, but I’m taking them as soon as I get home, before I even go inside. I have lights in the pen, for winter, but my pulleys are now hens and this is their first year laying!
