Set my first eggs for the incubator yesterday! I am very excited and I hope I do everything correctly for a successful hatch.
I set 16
Using a Deluxe Digital Incubator Farm Innovators Model 2450
Have the incubator set on my desk in a room with no windows and is pretty stable in temperature.
Temp is set at 100.5 on the incubator
Humidity kept between 50-60 percent.
Using a infrared thermometer the eggs measured about 99-100 on the middle of the shell with this setting.
With differences of temp in the incubator I had moved them all to that back to keep that optimal egg shell temperature.
I tried to select eggs average in weight shape cleanliness and the earliest date laid.
Wrote on the eggs who laid, date laid, weight and tried to circle where the air sac was.
On the first day I did open up the incubator a lot due to a struggle in making sure the temperature was okay (cold spots and hot spots in the incubator) Hopefully that didnt hurt them. The temp would go back fast afterwards.
But they are now stable.
The eggs are from my own flock. I attached a picture of my 6 girls and 3 boys. All eggs are most likely mixed but there is a possibility for Cayuga-Cayuga and Blue Swedish - Silver Swedish
But I am super excited to see any cross! I absolutely love my girls and boys and I bet their duckings will be adorable (cause all ducklings are!)

Hatch date should be June 2.

It’s day 7 and we got some activity going on! This is so exciting to watch! :celebrate
14 out of the 16 eggs got some good activity going!
I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of them had developed! There was only one quitter (the last picture with the blood ring) It was Sonnets (our golden 300) but luckily her three other eggs look like they are doing just fine.
The second to last one may just be a yolker but Ill give it more time (this one was Otter’s our Blue Swedish, she had just recently started laying so I didnt expect the best fertility results from her but I thought id give it a shot)
Will start misting and letting them cool down starting on day 10.
Cant wait for some ducklings!

Day 11
14/16 embryos are moving! So cool! :clap
Wish I could put videos of it directly to this post.
Started to take them out to cool them down to around 86F and then sprayed with warm water

This is my first time hatching Aylesbury eggs. It is now say 24. This morning I woke up and found that my egg had drastically changed colour and got allot darker over night. The egg does not smell at all and there is still lots of movement. Do you think the duck could make it? @WVduckchick @Pyxis
