First hatch Brinsea Octagon 20 Advanced I set 31 eggs. LOTS PHOTOS/VIDEOS!! Ill keep this thread upd

I got 2 Ecoglow 50 I figured more room is always better than less especially when they start to grow. The white thing is a homemade feeder I bought on BYC. I didn't have food in it in this photo. You can order whatever size you want, he recommended 18 inches long for chicks but I think that was too long. I may have him make me another only 8-10 inches long. It is designed so they cannot spill feed all over and I thought maybe they would not be able to stand in it either. Here is the link to the guy who makes them and if you scroll to the end I posted a bunch of photos of the ones I ordered from him. I got a bigger one also for when they get older.

Oh wow I've never seen anything like that! I plan to do FF in it also or only dry? How easily does it scoop in there? How hard would it be to clean out too? Thanks!!!

I did put FF in there and tipped it to the side, Ill take a photo. It is a little annoying to scoop the FF in but not too bad. I am guessing cleaning it gonna be a pain, lol. Let it soak and use a papertowl on the end of a stick of something long and skinny and swish the paper towel around.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention 2 more hatched last night so that is 15, then the 2 I helped out of the shell is 17, and it looks like ONE more is trying to come out.

I canceled them, and then I did the float test on the 4 remaining eggs, but they all appear to be low floater like a fishing bobber, so they are all bad, I knew one of them was anyways.

Ok another video of CUTE FUZZY day old chicks!!! Don't forgot to maximize it and click the HD button (or the little spoke wheel icon 2 to the left of the maximize button. I never knew this as here till hubby showed me now I watch everything in HD!) so it is better quality!

Since the chicks absorbed the yolk while in the egg, they can survive for two days after they have hatched...so I wouldn't worry about it too much! :)

you can only do the vits and pray for the best, but u did awesome overall!
Thank you so much. I went and got the wry neck chick Poly vi sol and gave her a few drops already, we all see if it improves.

So final count is 18 chicks, 1 wry neck, 1 weak in brooder, and one that just hatched appears a bit weak, Ill see how it is once it dries out. Now as soon as its dry the next set of 28 eggs will be going in. Ill make a new thread and Ill post the link here when I start it in case anyone wants to follow me again. :)
