This is our first hatch ever! My daughter & I made an incubator, but couldnt seem to get the temp stable. The eggs came before we could get the temps right (silly me thought 1 week woudl be long enough) so a nice lady that I found on craigslist let us put them under her broody hen. We bought an incubator, got the temps stable and we picked them up lastnight. I hope all the transporting didnt harm them! Anyone used a surrogate chicken for the first 18 days?
