I put my eggs in my bator at about 6PM on April 24th so I think it is Day 4 (when is my day 18 to stop the turner anyone?)

I know you like updates so I thought I would update. Other than a power outage near the beginning....temps have been idea, humidity has been ideal and my LG9200 is doing superbly keeping the correct temperature.

Anyway, I tried candling a bit earlier in the hatch cycle with no luck but today I did again-methodically every egg in about 12 minutes (total)...the temp only dropped to 98 during that time (woohoo go me). I think I have it down!

It was OBVIOUS at this point who wasn't fertile....I am taking them out tomorrow when DH confirms. Still not sure about quitters-some might be this but I can't really tell. I saw movement in all but 1 but am not sure if it is just moving yoke...I think it was rhythmic but can't be sure.

I got my eggs shipped from Marie Martin and am pleased they are doing something...I was concerned about shipping AND it being my first time AND the stupid power outage. Out of 17 eggs, 5 weren't fertile...but they were also the oldest (4/8,4/9,4/10 and then 2 random ones) and it appears the other 12 are going along (well 1 I am concerned about but leaving it alone).

Just thought I would let you know!!!

Stop your turner on the evening of the 12th of May...That would be your 18th day, if you set them at 6 p.m. on the 24th... I always call the next day, day 1...

I just mark the questionable ones with a ?...and wait til the next candling to see if I should remove...as long as its not smelly or seeping...then take it out for sure...

Good luck and happy hatching....

You really think I should keep them to the next candling. There is NO development of any type they are completely see through....

If they are clears, no development ...toss them...I was talking about the one you were concerned about...
