Not trying to butt in but the first thing I see wrong is the turner in the bator. It should be out of there while they are hatching(check your instructions booklet) That is what mine said

Good Luck

This is very exiting! I am thinking about incubating some eggs, but I have heard horror stories about incubators not working right and babies dying at the last minute (so sad!). I am so glad your hatch is going well! Keep us updated!

Out of the 10 eggs that I have in there 4 have hatched, 4 more have pipped and 2 have not done anything yet. I still have some time. Today is day 21

sorry to comment on this vent issue but reminds me during hatching should or shouldnt I have the vent holes unplugged I was wondering that cause I didnt....but I been reading that it seems you want them open....for oxygen and to dry out the chicks

My incubator and turner say to take the turner out it can break their legs....I hope it is not running while they are hatching....then it might be ok.

I had the vents open. I did have the turner off but now I wish that I had taken it out. I had one get its leg stuck and then one get pinned against the side of the bator and the turner. So I had to open it up 2 times so far. I do not see any problems for opening it up but I would have rather not had to. Ok I now have 7 cute little fuzzy butt and 1 that is pipped and the other 2 still nothing.

I am so glad that you are getting chickies. It is really exciting when they hatch. Let us know on the 2 that are nothing. Did you candle them before lockdown? It would be great if you get a 100% hatch.

Yes I did candle before lockdown. I had one blood ring so I took that out. All the others were moving and had very little room to move. I am now up to 9 chicks with the last egg doing nothing so far. I am in no hurry to give up on the little guy so I think that I still have some time. Today is Day 22
