First incubation ever! Help me get it right!

Just saw this - and I think you answered it, yourself. 🙂 Realistically, creating close quarters, ensuring the rooster's not trying to cover too many hens or is distracted by another flock roo, having young and healthy roosters (and hens)...a few factors that may help. Is there a fertility problem?
Oh, the last eggs we tried to incubate ended up ebbing infertile. The rooster was a bantam and mating standard sized hens so its obvious why he may be having issues.
I recently purchased new eggs thought, 7 cochin bantams that are in the incubator.
I'm having issues with really weird air cells though, I have pictures above.

Should I be concerned about these air cells? They seem HUGE for day 5, and they seem really wonky? I tried to get pics of the random shapes they are, and its really odd. Am I looking at the air cell? Whats going on here?

Isn't that weird? All the eggs look like that. I will post pictures of the other eggs to, and note I can also see clear veins in all the eggs I have pictured. The camera just wouldn't focus on them.
Are those the shipped eggs? From the photos, it looks like they may have sustained damage to the air cells during shipping and are now "saddled". The link has info about employing special incubation techniques for eggs with this kind of issue. Shipping can be incredibly rough on eggs. 😒

Yeah, the size difference...I just don't think AI for chickens is really a "thing". 😉

Darn! Thanks for the link. I knew something was up.

I got my dozen of EE and Dark brahama bantams today. They were only shipped less then 4 hours from me, so they didn't even have a long trip. They have the same damaged cells as the other eggs. Not all of them are as bad, some of them are pretty normal looking, but others aren't. The seller was a BYC member, so willing to send me more if this dozen didn't hatch.
I candled both batches of eggs, and traced the air cells so we wouldn't have to post candling pics, which I am obviously really bad at taking lol!

Hey guys! I candled today and everything looks great! Lots of veins, and I can see the embryos eye in the eggs. I also noticed what looked like a ring in the egg I candled. It traverses over the top of the veins and embryo, and ends at either side of the air cell.
Heres another bad quality pic! Lol! I can get better ones to, I took this one in a hurry.

I just want to make sure its not a blood ring. Both eggs I candled had the same thing, and the rest of the egg looks strong, wanted to see what you thought!
