Hi! I am a long time lurker but new member. For hens I have: 6 ISA, 4 Australorp, 2 white crested black polish, 3 black copper marans, and 10 Easter Eggers. I ended up with some accidental Roos: 1 white crested Polish, 1 Australorp, and two black copper marans

I also have 22 cornex quail and 6 ducks.

I have a pretty efficient setup. I would say my weakness is the ability to build things myself.

Thank you
:bun :welcome :bun

I was putting leaves and cleaning my run out and thought I would take some pics with my small little phone, sorry if they are low quality. My run is 16' by 24'. I put lattice around it and I am still slowly working to make it pretty. We have logs of trees that fell down around the perimeter. My birds normally free range and this is mainly used when it's just not safe to go out. My compost pile is in my chicken coop because of some things I learned from abundant permaculture. I have CDs hanging up around it to try and deter hawks. Haha I know it's not pretty, my husband and I are trying to work on learning to build.

What's the turkey decoy used for? Trying to lure wild turkeys into your coop:lau?

Welcome glad you joined.
The great thing about chickens is they don't need to live in a fancy place as long as you can build a box with a roof they will be happy and a little ventilation
