I can't seem to find time to take pics. Our order from Cackle hatchery came in yesterday as well and so we are now officially over run. LOL. No more pips on my end, but the 1st baby is doing great! I looked up those Spangled Hamburgs (did I get it right?) They are beautiful birds.

Mrs. Feathers, glad you're here! I know, I keep checking mine all the time for signs of life. We had a rough go throughout incubation, so I have my fingers crossed for these last two. We set 15 of our own eggs, and lost them all but these 3 due to my own learning curve. I am still unsure if they will make it.

So, maybe tonight will be the night!

for all of us!

No rolling here just yet.. a few rocks and chirps.. I think its on a break.. lol

As for the Spangled Hamburgs yes they are very nice littl ebirds. Our hen is a DOLL. Shes soo sweet.

Just noticed a few little wobbles and a faint chirp. One more work day and tomorrow afternoon on it will be eyes glued to the incubator.
Sorry to hear you lost so many eggs Chickboss. We had a really crummy last hatch and to top it all off I had left an egg in that I was not sure of when I candled....then it blew during lockdown. as chicks were hatching..ewwww.
This time we have 6 Australorps and 5 EE (there were 6 but one was a yolker).
Hoping this hatche will go well. Our turner quit on day 8 and we had a power outage on day 10...but 11/12 made it to lockdown and the 1 that didn`t was unfertilized.
Looking forward to seeing photos of all the chickies.

Can't wait to see pics! I love my Australorps, they are great birds. Yawn........goodnight, here's to having some babies in the morning!

im not going to sleep anytime soon.i want to be there right excalty when the first pip happens

Gosh. I am sorry to hear about your clutch boss. I hope the other two hatch out for you. I myself do not use an incubator but I put all my eggs under my wonderful banty hens when they decide to sit in the spring and summer. Currently on day 19 for some bobwhite quail and some bantys. I am anywhere from day 19 to day 3 on my eggs

I am like a kid in a candy store with them though, I check about 3 times a day for little biddy babies lol. So much fun hatching out isn't it! I had my first clutch hatch out last year. I hatched 14 bantys out of 17 eggs. It was a pretty good hatch rate if you ask me. I only lost one cockerel who decided to take a swim

but after all that 7 were roos and 7 were hens and they are the best laying and brooding hens I have ever seen! Must be the sebright in them. Well I will let you know if I find any bobs or bantys SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED! I am working the night shift until 6am eastern time and when I get home I will be checking for babies! Hope all goes well for everyone else
