First night outside

My babies are 5 weeks old. Low tonight is 45. I have a heat lamp setup to shine on the wire kennel with hay. The babies are not sleeping in the kennel though. Instead, they are snuggled together on the sandy ground well away from the light. They are sleeping fine not peeping like they need something. Will they be ok? Should I put out another light?

if they are cold they will get closer to the light, but watch out for heat lamps and hay, don't want a fire

Sure will. I think I am ok. My dad checked it earlier. Thanks for the help.

I suspect that if they were cold, they would be huddled under the heat lamp. If they are staying away from it, they are probably doing just fine.
