Last night was the big move. Although the temps were going to be down in the 40's I couldn't wait any longer. They were too cramped in the brooder. So at 4 weeks old I moved them and the heat lamp out into the coop. I just checked on them and they all seem very happy and more importantly, made it through the night! I checked my thermometer (which is at the opposite end of the heat lamp) and that read around 60'. Yippee, they are officially in there coop!!! Doesn't that mean it's time for more chicks????

Oh, isn't it a little exciting? We finally got the coop done enough to let my little ones make the move- last night was their first night also. I'd say it is time for more chicks, but I've had chicks in my spare room since January ( 3 different hatches)- so right now, I can't enable you LOL.

LOL - you enablers!!!
