First outing... pics...

We haven't really had any Warm weather for the baby chicks to go out in, but yesterday it was really glorious and the chicks are now old enough that they can be moved outside. So I took a few photos of their first day out. I think they will get used to it

They don't seem terribly excited about it all, do they?

So cute- the ducks look like they are having an especially nice time! May I ask what kind of chicks are in the first picture? They are beautiful! Laura

In the first picture are my two Polish Crested. I love them, they are such funny sweet chicks. I Think I may have one roo and one pullet, but guessing time will tell. One is more outgoing but seems to be feathering in like a pullet, the other is more shy but seems to be feathering in like a roo. "???" Gender is anyone's guess I suppose.

In the second picture you see most of everybody, which is: 4 gold sexlinks, 3 silver laced wyandottes, 2 black sexlinks, 2 barred rocks, and 2 polish. I have 10 speckled sussex due in on Wednesday, and I am hoping to pick up a couple EEs and maybe a couple bantams as well. We'll see. My DH is going to have heart failure when he learns of the new ones coming in. LOL... But the gold sexlinks are actually going to a friend of mine, she was afraid of raising them from chicks. So I needed to add to the flock, right?!!! It is Insane how many chickens I will have by next year. Considering my BO is broody and has been setting on a clutch of eggs that we are allowing her to hatch out. Anyone in PNW that wants some SS chicks?? Or later some SSxBO chicks if they are available??
