First quilt block swap 2016

The freebie I have for this swap is paper piecing little 2 inch sample ornaments, if you do not want one let me know and I won't put one in with your blocks.

I have heard this is very good, but it does have some chemicals in it, and adding green sand and volcanic ash and mushroom compost to it would make is wonderful, carrots need the sand so they can grown easily, if you can not find green sand then sand but make sure it doesn't have fiber glass in it, the kids play sand used to have that in it, don't know if it still does

I use this in my garden, and mix it really well and I do put sand etc with it for my root veggies makes it easier for them to grow,
Chicken poop has to age or it is too strong in nitrates and will burn the plants, rabbit poop you can use it right away and is really wonderful if you can find it.

thank you Kat! I'm going to town today and see what is available. I will check them out! I'm trying to get a hold of a guy up the road that used to sell organic vegetables.They had the greenhouses and his own garden, but they closed a few years back. He used to sell organic supplies. He is a tree trimmer, so I don't know if he still does any gardening or composting with the tree trimmings. His wife owns a craft/flower shop in town, so I'm going to stop in and find out from her.

Just to let you know you started something with me,when I got the last paper piecing sample it started a whole " thing " with me. Lol I'm doing my hexagons all with paper piecing...I've done so much research one day I'm might try with the big girls on face book.lol my grandmothers garden is coming right along.

I am with jackieb226. I can't wait!!!!!! LOL Like an impatient toddler.

Maybe I should go play with the blocks from the other swap and start putting those together. I opted for an alternative setting and need to process the blocks further before sewing them together. I now regret some of it as it has delayed me in putting the quilt together but I already cut the extra fabric and have it all kitted up to work on it. I am sure in the long haul I will like it but patience is not my strongest suite.
