First quilt block swap 2016

Love the crosswalk! Might try that for next customer... I'm going to,put together a portfolio for customers to see...do you ever stop seeing the faults in you work? There are times I've even talked myself out of posting a pic of something because I don't think it's good enough. Wish I had a long arm ...can someone tell me the going price to quilt a blanket? I do my own right now...quilted two queen sized quilts for Christmas for someone and geez with my brother I dang near wore it out...and I sew at a desk...no room for those monsters...I have told people no more queens! :/ I need to fix a couple things on this...doing that today Edited to add that I am not NOT a cowboys fan...we are a Texans family all the way. I love football though. :celebrate
I think this is a VERY nice quilt! We are all our own worst critic! :D Rarely do others see our mistakes or what things we feel aren't quite right!
A www thanks. I am a perfectionist...sewing does not lend itself to this affliction very well. At some point I just must say its fine! Grrrrr lol

Ladies, I know this is off topic, and I will keep it short, but are any of you gardeners? I have been searching all weekend for the best store bought clean/pure compost to plant carrots in containers. We are just starting our own composting, but until we have our own, I need an alternative. The commercial ones are junk, but I didn't know if any of you have any suggestions. I posted in gardening, but so far no responses. I want to get them planted asap. I'm also going to start zucchini seeds, so if you have any suggestions on a good seed starting medium, organic of course, any suggestions would be most appreciated! You can pm me if you would rather so this doesn't hack this thread. Thanks!

We put our goat, duck and chicken poo in the mix.
yes, we plan on doing that with our chicken poo. That is something we have plenty of!!

I just need to know what kind to buy. I'm very frustrated! I had planned on planting them today, but I can't seem to find what I want. I guess I will just have to go to our local garden centers to find out what they offer. I thought compost was compost, but apparently not.

I have heard this is very good, but it does have some chemicals in it, and adding green sand and volcanic ash and mushroom compost to it would make is wonderful, carrots need the sand so they can grown easily, if you can not find green sand then sand but make sure it doesn't have fiber glass in it, the kids play sand used to have that in it, don't know if it still does

I use this in my garden, and mix it really well and I do put sand etc with it for my root veggies makes it easier for them to grow,
Chicken poop has to age or it is too strong in nitrates and will burn the plants, rabbit poop you can use it right away and is really wonderful if you can find it.

I hope this helps
