First quilt block swap 2016

So where are we all in the block production? Have we decided on colors? who all is finished I know a couple of you are!! I should get started this weekend, and I have color ideas but no colors in hand yet, getting there, I have finished 2 quilt tops and working on a 3rd, can't wait to use my new machine.

Anyone finish their disappearing 9 patch quilt yet? I made more blocks and am going to put a scalloped edge on it. So because the colors are really pretty and so varied I'm going to do a oh I can't think what it is called the squiggly lines anyway in filament so you won't see the thread but the pattern.

The blocks for this current swap are done and ready to ship. Most are brown.

I did not put the disappearing nine patch together yet but did decide on a layout. It is one of the alternative layouts in which I am adding strips. I cut the strips already and made my own kit but have not started sewing blocks together yet.

It seems I need to have my head together when I make these blocks and lately I have not had my head together more often then not.

I do like using my pre-cuts, no thinking there on color coordination I don't think I the greatest in that dept.but we do come up with some pretty combos, I really like my 9 patch, add border and then scalloped edge, so for the border I was going to go with a lighter purple and then a dark scalloped edge what do you think?, I also have one more row to add on the side to make it wider and then sew the blocks together.

I have to move some blocks around, darks seem to be all on the bottom and in the 3rd row thinking of losing the first and 4th block and in the 1st row the 3rd block all together from the quilt what do you think or just move it to a different position in the quilt?

Well opinions here, ok I played around with the arrangement so what do you think now? do the blocks in question still hit you in the face? would you pull them from the quilt?

Row 3 block 4 I think it is. On the picture the green doesn't work nice with the rest. Oddly enough it is a green I like but it just doesn't seem to appear any where else in the quilt.

Thanks gone, it will become a pillow. I seriously thinking about pulling the colors in row 1 block 1 and row 2 block 5, To me those just don't seem to mesh as well with the other blocks.
