First quilt block swap 2016

Ok blocks will mail out tomorrow and will post tracking by zips.




Now I have to make an apology, This is the first swap that I have not been able to complete, and honestly I didn't think I would be able to. but I didn't want you ladies to worry who would do the swap, so you will actually have only 9 different blocks, not counting your block.

And the blocks are all so beautiful, well done, I will set up the next swap in a couple of days. and I think we all decided on doing the Prairie flower, it was posted on post #74, but here is the link

Now to decide on colors, that comes from you, so post your color ideas. We also need to decide what color the center block will be.
And I think this will be a 20 block swap.

I suggest yellow for the center, floral prints, not yellow, for the petals and green for the corner blocks/leaves.
For the back ground black maybe or white like is shown in the Missouri Star quilt video. I prefer white. If we do white on white a lot of people might have some already. I am all for using up what fabric we already have.

I like the idea of white on white, and not black since black doesn't all look the same and fades differently, great suggestions.

Ok now for the sample for this swap, I have included my instruction along with theirs, I didn't like theirs for a beginner, and I just so happened to have bought these patterns and I also included the instructions from the pack since they didn't show you very much and I wouldn't know what to do with it with what they gave. If you sent 24 blocks you will get 24 back and I kept swapping blocks as most of you said you made more blocks and really wanted others back, and I made a block for each of you. seeing the pretty blocks I wanted one of yours.


Instructions are in your packet of blocks, You can save your tissue paper pattern if you copy it, that is what I do with my PP patterns I just copy it and then I have it for ever.
