Should I be worried?

We picked up a young trio at auction. We have had them for 2 weeks and this is the first egg we have seen. I examined the pullet and her vent was spasming but not bleeding. She was eating and drinking just fine.

Help! I don't want to lose my Lizzy.

That does happen sometimes, especially when they first start laying. Just keep an eye on her. She should get the hang of it.
