First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

The picture of a CX trying to get through the doggie door, is firmly planted in my mind.

I have this picture most here have seen it some of later arrivals to this thread may not have. Here is Bert, trying to get into the chicken coop with the regular chickens, but he is too wide to go through the chicken door.

I am sure yours looked a lot like this. I felt so sorry for Bert on this day, he just wanted to be a regular chicken...

Well that's what I saw too. She just sticks her head threw the flap on the door. I guess to get the cool air. My husband's desk is in the den next to the door and he has seen it from the inside. She struggles to get in but can't fit. I think that's good though. Bob would freak if she ever got in. He calls the CXs poop machines. And would prefur I not let them out for all the poo they leave in the yard. I keep the peace with the leaf blower every few days. It's been so hot and dry that it blows away with the leaves. My Silkie and Sumatra could get throw but haven't tried it yet. I would like to get the pic from inside the house.

Round 2: We get to do a dance with zoning.  Ugh!  So will she.  Hehehe (that's an evil laugh if you didn't know).

Red Nugget:  I never have the camera ready when really cool things happen either.
sorry you have to go threw the zoning thing now. Are you within the laws? We fought the zoning here and won but only because of our kids with special needs. Good luck.

Big ole CX trying to fit into small spaces! The image never gets old. They are so cute. It is like they are gentle giants. They really have no idea how huge they are.

Pearl's favorite pal was Clyde the silkie. Funniest thing those two pecking around.
Jessica and Red Nugget- I bet you just smile every time you see them together!

New here, and new to raising these myself, 10 in the brooder on day 2.
Feed question, does it need to be the same exact time every day to stop feeding them? I work 12 hour rotating shifts so mine may vary by a few hours.
