I would be VERY careful. We had a Barred owl kill a full grown egglating machine turkey hen!! Sadly my tom couldn't get to her to beat the owl to a bloody pulp. Its a good thing I like owls!!

I heard an owl earlier. I'm hoping the geese i just got are too big to mess with

depends on the size of the owl. We have 6 that circle the property at night and talk to each other. I've been out at 2 am with a spot light and they were as big as fire hydrants. In the last 6 month's we have lost 3 cats between 9 and 14 lbs each. Never any sign of a struggle. The only clue is my Chihuahua Cujo barking frantically in the middle of the night. How big are the geese.

I am going to set it in the AM because we will be gone tomorrow at the flea market and with family and I wont have time to set it before it gets dark. I think I might set 2 traps one live trap for a coon and one live trap for a feline.

I wonder if something else is getting your cats because owls cant carry something that big. And we used to feed dead squirrels to the owls and they literally turn them inside out and just leave the hide and whats left of a head.

He really is. And SO gentle with the hens and has never fought once with our other rooster. They actually were best friends till the other got moved to a different pen so I could have pure bred Welsummers and pure and mix breed and pure SQ Standard B/B/S Cochins.

We used to put those around our corn because they coons would take down stalks and eat the corn. But that quit eventually. It wasnt worth the times the skunks got zapped and sprayed everywhere!!! Ick ick ick.
