First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

Im a little apprehensive about the 6 jumbo cx i have coming this week. My goslings are 3 weeks old now. The only time they get the brooder light is after I let them play in the water.

Well I got to the spot my Welsummer sleeps and all I found was tufts of feathers. I couldn't find her anywhere. So I gave up and went to feed the cows and the second the grain hit the ground I saw her come on dead run from under a trailer!! At least she is alive with no wounds.

Jessica, I'm following your situation with your neighbor with great interest. Lol, at her complaints about the chicken manure. I wonder what they are going to say about her horse manure? I guess she thinks her $%#! doesn't stink.
Oh, he had a few choice words and some big concerns. She will be hearing from him as well. One sweep of his eyes across the property gave him info he needed. In red is exactly what he said.

That is too funny,

I have a niece that is "one of those people". She lost her drivers license for one of the thousand tickets she received or a DUI, I don't recall what.

She was going to see the Drivers License examiner/reviewer to see if and when she could get her license back.

She told me she was "sick and tired of the way the cops treat her and was going to give him a piece of her mind"

The next day I asked her is she gave him a piece of her mind?

She said "Yep, I let him have it with both barrels"

I asked if she got her license back and she just said "nope"..

Would you mind telling me is your neighbor named "Nancy" by chance? I have no idea where my niece is now.

Just for the record and for those of you living in alligator or scorpion heaven, 80's is hot here. When we get to 80 we normally have 90% humidity.  Plus we are use to 60 being a nice day.  When we get to 90 or those few days of 100, we surrender.

A little breeze can make a huge difference, but it seems on those hot days we never have a breeze until it turns into a tornado.

(Just adding and explaining what Holm said)
When our children were just starting school we decided we would move to Iron Mountain Michigan. Mind you my husband is from Slidell Louisiana. We think y'all are crazy. It lasted about 10 months. It was also the warmest yr on record at the time. They couldn't even open the ski resort that winter. Not enough snow. The pastor called one Sunday morning to tell us they had to cancel CHURCH! What was wrong? It was 90 degrees! We'd never seen CHURCH canceled be for and we were shocked. The spring and summer were wonderful. But the real shock was the winter. Snow came in September. Ok. Then the cold of your dry winter. 10 below zero. Lake affect snow. 80 mile an hour winds. For days on end in January. I was on the web looking for my poor frozen hubby a new job back in the south. When the power came back on of course. We moved here that spring. I haven't got him past the Mason Dixon line since. We felt like we had lived threw a cold hurricane that lasted more than a week. It is hotter here than usual this yr. Usually this is August weather. We got a brake today. 88 and a nice breeze. But forecast for sever storms by after noon. That when the sea breeze kicks in. But I I'll take this over your winters. At least in a hurricane they expect you to leave town. Not at work.

Ok,question time. In my order which is comprised of white giants, white plymouth rocks, and dark cornish will also be 6 jumbo cx hens. What typeof feeding regime should i put the cx on to try and get them to breeding stage? Should I seperate them? There will be a total of 30 chicks. They get here on the week of the 6th july.
