First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

18 wheeler transporting 6000 live broilers caught on fire,or rather the trailer did
resulting in 2000 dead birds. Not to far from where I live.
This is one of those things that aggravate me. Truckers will run a flat(knowingly ) till it slings all the rubber off the rim. Ive followed behind them for miles watching rubber fly, when it stops. They stop.

And I understand that I'm being way too critical of truckers, most of them anyway.

Come on! You being to critical of anyone?? Male Bovine Poop! Who could ever find you critical of anyone?

I just don't believe it.. It is beyond my comprehension......

Where are the other 4000 birds, running all over the highway?

I always like to go look at truck spills...,especially if it was a lumber truck. Have gotten all sorts of good things that spilled out on the highway and the companies had to write off. Last year I got about 3/4 ton nice timothy hay. The year before, a buddy got some packages of Halal meat, goat and lamb that had spilled. You get the idea!

I get it. In the pictures I saw, they did not unload the chickens. First 1/3 of the truck was dead birds. Google
The local news for Beaumont,Texas . channel 12 has a sight with the story and pictures

I have seen the crates. I'm surprised only a third of them were burned, honestly. They do manage to escape sometimes, though.. here is an article I found from awhile back, this one happened a few hours south of me. The article I originally read said they were loose in the road, this one doesn't so who knows what the truth actually is.
