Hey there! I’m reaching out to yall for some help😵‍💫
My little Olive girl is on the struggle bus🤦🏼‍♀️. She had to have crop impaction surgery last year and has been fine all year until a month or so ago. She would eat and it would be soft and doughy for a while during the day and then at night and into the next morning it’s doughy and hard. I took her to the vet a we have had 3 appointments now about this. He thinks maybe the muscle isn’t functioning properly or there is a partial blockage and we man need to cut her open again to take it out and do a biopsy to send off since we’ve done everything we can think of. I have been trying everything to avoid this bc it makes me nervous putting her under. She went under before and was ok afterwards. She acts fine and is a happy go lucky gal and is pooping and *trying to* eat up a storm, her belly is just draining so slow. I have been giving Metamucil and a papaya enzyme twice a day as well and have her isolated only giving soft foods.
Any suggestions on what may help? I’m willing to try anything!

Did you see the reply on your other thread and try that?

We don't like to start giving advice over the top of each other so just checking as you never replied to that one.

Here are two excellent articles about crop issues you could read to better understand what is going on and ideas to treat it.

Hopefully, she gets over this soon!

Hey there! I did. Unfortunately it didn’t help and nothing . I was hoping maybe this post would find someone at just the perfect time to help my girl. I’ve also read other threads and still haven’t had much luck.

Have you tried the acidified copper sulfate yet? Some swear that knocks out tough crop issues. The author of the second article talked about it again in this thread.

The information in those two articles is a culmination of all there is known anywhere to help with crop issues.
