First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

one of my cx,they are slow feathering, which is probably a good thing considering the heat and humidity. They are eating layer crumble,im curious to see how they respond.so far I can't tell that its slowed their growth in the least.

Technically the slow grow ARE Cx,so yes,no fast growing though. To be honest I think the Jg cross was a waste of time. The barred x scx (slow Cx) and the dc x scx seem to have given the best results.

Love all the chix pix! Makes me want to try and breed some, but danggggg their poo is by far some of the smelliest stuff on earth. I want to rub Vicks vap o rub in my nostrils before I head to their coop ! Wonder if cedar shavings would help with the smell any? Probably need to get the ducks out of the coop with the broilers, they keep everything wet and soggy. Another project for the hubs. Would anyone like to let him know for me? Please?

I use fermented feed and the smell is not so bad.
