Why thank you Sir.

Managed to finally get some Cornish eggs laid in the pen, not really sure why they stopped.
Anyway set my last batch away on Wednesday, so fingers crossed.

Anyone else still hatching ?

I will eat a few of the boys, the girls will be next years egg layers. I hope to hatch a lot of them next year and maybe even sell some. Besides sending a few eggs to JR.

Im going to send 75% of mine to freezer camp. The Whitings,leghorn and EE hens will all remain for my blue egger project. The Saipan are iffy,Ive never seen chickens so persistently broody.
The barred crosses will get a pass as well as the dark cornish. The rest have an all expense paid vacation to grinder ville where they will be fitted with slimming jackets. Then they will get a relaxing smoke aroma session (also free of charge) from there final destination

As I was wading around in the chicken pen talking to alllllll my birds,I realized that I have a serious bird addiction. What is even more disturbing is that there are a surprisingly large number of "closet chicken addicts" at work. Normal looking people... they hear the word "CHICKEN" and they start trying to discreetly show you pictures of THEIR chickens. I plan on cutting my flock in order to get MORE CHICKENS. In the back of my mind I hear a little voice screaming "No More Chickens"
Its possible the voice could be my wife.....It's a vicious never ending cycle...Chicken Addict.

LOL it seems like so many people have a SO, DW or DH that does not understand the need for more poultry LOL
Glad I am a single old lady and can have what I want... so long as the poultry police don't come by

My husband says he doesn't care what I do with my chickens as long as I don't have 100 running around. He freely admits that he expects me to have 99 chickens running around.
