2 Marans and 4 welsummer hatched. We still have our brood hen. So we brought her in the house into a cage and have been sliding the chicks under her threw out the night. Well one did not make it. But losses are ok. It was a welsummer too. Of which we don't need anymore. So 2 Marans 3 welsummer.

In a nut shell she/he was tangle up all wrong we carefully worked it out of the membrane but left it attached . yoke was absorbed and there were a few blood vessel still. We put her back in and she rested for 15 mins and now it starting to chirp and move again. She has a loud chirp health lungs.lol.

Usually if you just take off the end (making sure the beak is clear), like up to your 2nd picture, place it back in the incubator, they can/will finish on their own

Congrats!
Good to know. She was up running around with another welsummer roo that hatched while we were out getting logs for some roo shack/breeder pens.
So 9 have hatched 2 Marans and 7 welsummer total. 4 more eggs at 22 days. Hoping for some more pullets
