i put shelf liner dow but it seemed to block the humidity from staying up being that it blocks the humidity rising in my incubator. I have the Nurture Right 360. Chicks walked around just fine without it.We're on day 15. Lockdown is coming. I've got shelf liner for the bottom of the incubator. Got most of my brooder supplies ready. Save a chick on standby. Does everyone give electrolytes at first or only if they seem weak?

Everyone says they see movement. I have never seen movement in my silky eggs. Granted i have only hatched 13 so far. Maybe cause the eggs are so small?Day 17 and I just checked all eggs. I’ve got movement in 12 of 12 eggs. Lock down tomorrow![]()
It’s soooo faint at this stage. There’s barely any room left, but I’ve been watching them bounce around since day 7. The hen that laid 8 of the 12 eggs is quite wacko, so I expect nothing less from her offspring.Everyone says they see movement. I have never seen movement in my silky eggs. If you look at the video I posted at the beginning of the thread you can see the movementEveryone says they see movement. I have never seen movement in my silky eggs. Granted i have only hatched 13 so far. Maybe cause the eggs are so small?
i watched the video. very cool. i guess i need to candle on day 9 to see. before i candle again they have taken up the whole egg. I have 2 incubators. this one hatched yesterday. very small. i have another i kept after i sold the rest, to be her companion. shes acting like her mom, cuddling and letting her go sit under her belly, even though she's only 3 weeks. they are just too cute.If you look at the video I posted at the beginning of the thread you can see the movement
Yay looks like we’ll both be hatching fluffies all weekendSo exciting!
I usually see movement as well when I put the eggs in lockdown.
I have been hatching chicks for a few years now and I swear by the shelf liner. See photo below. You can buy it in a role and it is easily cut to size. I also have an NR 360 and a Brinsea. I have 5 Silkie eggs on DAY 18.View attachment 2981725
