iv had chickens all my life but decided 3 and 1/2 months ago I wanted to raise some myself so I did I hatched 4 silkies and bought two the older ones.one is a ginger who is a boy and a blue one that is a girl the other 4 are 2 black and 2 ginger but I’m not sure on the gender my idea was that I wanted to breed them to sell hatching eggs and chicks but I have no clue how to get the genetics correct or what precautions I need to make with colours

Get a copy of the SOP and study it. Select breeders according to their guidelines, and don't sell mutts as purebreds. Generally mixed colours are not desirable either.

Okay I want my silkies to be the best of the best so i will get to it :thumbsup
If you are aiming to be a serious breeder then I suggest doing more than that. Join your breed club and the APA, attend shows and study winning birds. Buy stock from good breeders that know what they're doing and cull hard. Go for health first, then type, then colour. The most perfect bird is of no use if it's sickly. Production should also be an aspect even for Silkies.
