First time breeder wanting advice

If you are aiming to be a serious breeder then I suggest doing more than that. Join your breed club and the APA, attend shows and study winning birds. Buy stock from good breeders that know what they're doing and cull hard. Go for health first, then type, then colour. The most perfect bird is of no use if it's sickly. Production should also be an aspect even for Silkies.
Okay :thumbsup around my area is the contries best silkie breeder so I could get some of his eggs and try with them I also have lavender pekin and polish that I was thinking about breeding they are abosolutly beautiful aswell so I’m very exited

Don't start with multiple varieties. That's a sure recipe for disaster. Choose ONE variety of ONE breed and study like crazy. Showbirdbid, Classroom at the Coop, and breed clubs are all good places to start. Don't breed before you have an idea of what you're doing. I keep multiple notebooks of my thoughts and things I learn from others.

Learn to butcher and eat your extras. You are not doing the fancy a favour if you sell poor quality birds.
