First time brooding geese

How long can eggs sit in the nest and still be hatchable, when she finally desides to start sitting on them? My Toulouse pair started to first lay mid January and I think today she has finally decided to stay on the nest? Last I counted, she had 8, now possibly 10 eggs. She eats like an elephant and only wants fresh green leaf lettuce or grass. (They ate ALL OUR YARD, so I'm growing grass in trays, cutting them alternately and feeding her, along with 2 huge heads of green leaf, and some kale daily) She has been turning them daily, then covers them up again. But today, she laid one...wandered around a bit...and then went back and has been on them ever since
