I have a female button quail who is around 9 months old and has gone broody. Currently she is housed in an aquarium with two storeys. She has gone broody in their little loft. She is housed with her mate and her brother(I know, it's not ideal, however no one nearby has females at the moment, and I wouldn't want him to be lonely. Plus I'm worried the stress of losing her brother might make her stop brooding)
My main question is; Should I move her after the babies hatch? The fish tank wasn't exactly set up for broody quail, and there are places that the babies could fall or hurt themselves.
If I do move her, should I move her mate as well? He sat with her on the nest for a little while, but otherwise seems uninterested.
@JaeG do you have any suggestions?
(BTW eggs are on day 9)
