Tail feathers don't mean much at these ages.
It may well mean it’s a male…but if it does, that’s not a reliable sexing method.This one is the only one out of 10 that doesn't have its tail feathers. We will wait and see

That helps members answer your questions. My setup in northern Minnesota might be quite different than somebody in southern California, for example.
