First Time Chick Parents, Spring 2016

I have 9 slw chicks about 3 weeks old, I have just noticed on most of them a tumor like sac on the right side of their chests, it is covered in feathers and they all seem as crazy and happy as ever, what is this?

I don't know, I am new also. Can you post a picture to help someone answer your question? Hope all is well.

I think the only thing you're seeing is full crops. They're full and content.

The crop is a pouch off of the esophagus that the food enters first before it's slowly released to the stomach. It allows them to eat a lot all at once, then digest it slowly...sort of like a chipmunks cheek pouches (but a little different).

Hahahaha awh no wonder, I just fed them boiled eggs :)
