First time chicken owner in Dordogne France

Hi and welcome. What's the weather temperature range there? Many of the American members have to worry about the cold, but I think that is mostly in the north. Do you have snow where you are? (I will look it up myself later on, but I've just woken up and haven't had my coffee...)

Welcome to BYC. Chickens hate change. When moved to a new home they will lay for 2 or 3 days - those eggs were 'in process' in the reproductive tract. They will then take a break for variable periods of time before restarting production.
