Here are some pics of our coop almost done, the run will need a few more days. The coop is 5 X 10 and I was tight on space so I was fresh out of ideas! The run is 10 X 20 and I just need some help with the poultry netting.

We probably got too many chickens for the first time???.... (19) As of now they are in our basement and are 9/10 weeks old. I have worked on the coop for the last 3 days to finish for the move Today. Are they ready?

So now that is done.....take a look, having never done this before im concerned on placement of the roost, pop door, and nesting boxes

The flock consists of mostly Rocks,

3 Partridge
3 White
3 Barred
3 NH Reds
3 Black sex links
? Golden Comet and a few others? Ill post some pics when they move

Looks great!

The move was made....one last check of the night looks like they are piled up in a corner?.......Normal?

If they have never had access to roosts yes it's normal to just pile up on the floor. Maybe pick up a few and put them onto the roosts manually so they get the hang of it. They will eventually all roost.

You might want to temporarily close off access to your nest boxes until they are ready to lay...so that they don't get in the habit of sleeping in the nests and not on the roosts. Great job. Are you doing pine shavings on the coop floor? Poop trays?

Thanks for all your replies!

Brookliner, Yes on the pine shavings and I did consider poop boards, I can add one in the next few days, Ill consider blocking access to the nesting boxes.....Makes sense

I really wish my customers would wish to build bigger coops like this, but I keep building smaller coops. You did an amazing job. For a builders prospective, I give you a 10 out of 10.
