First time dealing with wry neck

I had read the browneggblueegg article, and that's what I am trying to do, with the exception of the prednizone, which I don't have. I have many different dog meds in my stockpile, but none of that (of course). I will try the youtube upload. But now I am having to keep watch on my coop, the stray dogs got in my yard AGAIN at 9:30am and were approaching the coop when I ran outside with my sig. I fired to scare them off, which worked. The hot wire was still on, so I know the chickens were safe. Usually I let the hens out early on weekends, but didn't today b/c I was taking care of little Leilani inside. It never ends, it seems.

Update: She seems quite a bit better today. I took her outside when it was time for feeding her and she seemed really interested in the goings-on with the other chickens and chicks near by. I made a little corral with some firewood pieces and set her down in there and she was able to walk around remarkably well. She's a little wobbly, but the head shaking and tremors are less frequent and she is able to shake it off sooner. She is able to eat and drink on her own as long as the bowls are elevated a little bit. I will take her outside again in a little bit, since it really seemed to stimulate her. That and I got the polyvisol for her and started giving it last night, maybe that helped also.

Is it normal for some regression to occur? Yesterday she was doing wonderful, pecking at bugs on the ground, using her feeder and water dish. Today, she's not able to get her head straight long enough to walk to the feeder, so we did hand feeding today. Is it possible she overdid it yesterday? I am still giving the polyvisol and vitamin E in her food. Luckily my boss allows me to bring her to work with me, so I can feed/water her mid-day.

From what I understand from others that have dealt with Wry Neck...yes, a chicken can have setbacks during recovery.
Sometimes the underlying illness or whatever is causing the symptoms becomes to much to overcome and they begin to drastically decline, even when they seemed to be making progress.

You are doing what you can for her. I hope she gets better soon.

Ok, thank you for the response. Today she is better again, able to hold her head up pretty well. As long as she doesn't give up, neither will I.

Update: Leilani continues to make slow steady progress. She is now eating completely on her own. We moved her outside yesterday, but she is separated from the others, but they can see and hear each other. I am still giving her polyvisol twice daily, and she's eating well and even dustbathing. Hopefully, she will make a full recovery - but even if she stays as is, she can be on her own. She still has little tremor fits, but is shaking them off pretty fast and they are less frequent.
