First time duck hatcher Hatch a Long! Need a theme

Hi.

Follow along! It’s a duck egg hatcha long! I will be hatching some pure bred magpies and some production ducklings (high quality Pekins and khaki Campbell.) the production ducklings will be my breeding project and will be trying to create sex linked ducklings that grow quickly, efficiently and have good quality meat. The females will bred to lay very well and efficient free rangers. Follow along! You are welcome to have any conversations along as they are appropriate. Thanks and enjoy!

So an update!

I started my hatch yesterday. It was one lonely magpie egg. Today I picked up another Pekin khaki cross egg. I will be doing a staggered hatch. More babies for longer! The reason is because I only have 3 duck hens and 2 drakes. They are arranged to how they don’t get overmated. The magpie is kinda like a mallard. He has such a bond with her they will not tolerate being separated. At all. The khaki drake only my wants to mate with my Pekins. The total amount of eggs incubated is going to be twelve

You could name your males, pork chops, sirloin, steak, hamburger, beef, Lamb chops, Mutton, and veal, lol.
