Have a good Friday... Bill

I like eating coturnix quail & washing it down with a tall glass of Cuba libre. You put the lime in the coconut & drink it all up LOL It's five O clock somewhere.

Really.. The way I've found it to be good is letting it soak in some Kraft Italian dressing seasoned with some salt.. Let it sit for 24 hours and bake, broil or grill it

honestly, when i cook quail, i like to keep it classic french, cast iron pan, sear quail, add garlic & shallot(rosemary, or any herb you want as well), remove bird, deglaze with red wine, reduce, hit with butter, pour that sauce over seared bird

its painfully french, but classic and delicious

I split them in two. Salt, pepper, flour, and pan fry to golden deliciousness!

We were pan frying birds long before the slow cooker was invented, and at least to my pallet...Garlic, rosemary, and time, are totally counter productive to any game bird flavor.

If a pan fried bird doesn't taste good to you...there is no amount of secret herbs and spices that will make it taste any better.

I suggest one starts simple. Expand beyond that, and if one likes everything they eat smothered and covered with garlic, rosemary, and time....then knock yourself out. I'm a simpleton!
