Looks awesome! Do you have a heat lamp? Or other heat source?okay so we are up to 9 and number 10 is on its way. The other 2 dont seem to be making any progress. Here is my box for them at school. What do you think? Anything you would add?
There's still a good chance. My last hatch half of them had hatched and dried off before the other half started pippingSo I have six healthy looking chicks crashing around in there. It doesn't look like the other 8 have even piped. What is the likelihood that they will still hatch? Should they have piped by now?
Thank you! I don't know what I would do without you folks. They are tipped over all over the place. Should I try to straighten them out or just leave them as they were kicked. There's still a good chance. My last hatch half of them had hatched and dried off before the other half started pipping
Didn't I read that you had them in cartons? Tipped won't hurt them at all. Mine get rolled quite a bit by the first hatchersThank you! I don't know what I would do without you folks. They are tipped over all over the place. Should I try to straighten them out or just leave them as they were kicked.
Mine were not in cartons. I had them on their side.Didn't I read that you had them in cartons? Tipped won't hurt them at all. Mine get rolled quite a bit by the first hatchers
Yeah, I'm sorry. I went back and looked at your pics. Are the chicks still in there? Don't tell Amy I said this, but if they are in there, and the others aren't pipped, I would go ahead and take them out. You have a lot of open space in your incubator, and I can just see the chicks rolling eggs from one side to the other. The break in action would be the perfect time to take them out. One of the reasons I leave mine in so long is that the incubator is small, so the eggs actually get rolled less with more chicks in thereMine were not in cartons. I had them on their side.
