First Time Egg Candler Scared!

I add a small squirt of water if mine dips below 25-30%. Best of luck to you!

What is the dry incubation method?
http://letsraisechickens.weebly.com...anuals-understanding-and-controlling-humidity This is the method I use. If my bator holds above 25% w/o any water I will run completely dry. If not I add a sponge to bring it up and hold it around 30%.
Technically "humidity" does not kill the chicks. The effects of the humidity on the egg will cause a failed hatch. Humidity can be high or low all day and it will not "kill" the chick, but high or low humidity as the average will create less than optimal conditions for the chick which may compromise it's hatch.

If they all look like that, I'd say the roo isn't doing the job. The eggs that are being collected probably are not fertile. How old is the roo? Do you know?

:(, ok will go order eggs online........ those are expensive. DOes anybody know about hatching ducks, like how long, when is lockdown, what temp and humidity? I might do those instead
