First Time Egg Candler Scared!

I was watching one working a zip, and scanning around the bator when I heard and saw another one pip. I happened to be looking at the exact spot it hit. It was loud!

That's what I said so I had to wait until 12:01 EST to get excited and post pics of our first pip. Keep us posted Coleson and hang in there!

I just went to check on my eggs, and I didn't see anything but I swear I heard chirping, I went and checked and I heard it again. How long from first chirp heard is it until hatch?

Just put food and water in brooder!!! I am so excited.

Usually once you hear chirping you see an external pip within 24 hours...but....it can take another 24 hours after the external pip. So I would expect to see a pip anytime between now and 24 and hatching anytime between 12-24 hours after the external pip. But, that doesn't mean it'll hapen that way..just as an average...lol

I named myfirst one Peep because I could hear it peeping at me from inside the shell, so chirp in my book is

Play the chick peeping video for him and I bet you'l really hear him...lol and it will motivate him to do his thing...lol
