Well, kinda...our little city yard is too small to really call it that, but the previous times they were outside, they were in a cardboard box. So today they went outside for real after I came home from school, and I watched them and worried they would run away...

Then we remembered, I had a dentist's appointment! Oh no! So we left them in the yard and I worried the whole way through. The second we got back, I raced to the living room to look in the yard. Oh my gosh!!!! They were gone! Oh, nevermind. They were hiding behind that big rusty shovel. Phew.

And now...the pictures!!!! Please excuse the little EE, she's like the runt. Developing slower, still tiny in size. However, she's still active so I'm not too worried.

Courtney the BR:
"Huh? Wassat? You got food? Food? Food?"

Does she look like a roo? Because that comb is scaring me. We've had them for a bit over three weeks, but she was around a week or two when we got her, estimating. My mom thinks Courtney might still be a hen because of her round butt(excuse the baldness)

Uh, I don't wanna scare you, but it's my understanding that BR roos are more white and the pullets are more sharply black. So that looks like a little roo to me.

Yeah, I figured after looking at those red wattles and comb.

Which leaves me with an EE and an EE runt.

Color, chick down color/white spot size, and comb all say roo. So sorry.

Your Easter Eggers are definite girls though.

Well, the fully feathered one at least.

hard to say i when 2 of my barred rocks were chicks they were almost all white but they turned out to be hens! only white on there chest and head now!

That's a real pretty roo you got there!

Big comb for his age.

Yep, and he's got wattles already.

Nice, red wattles. And this chick happened to be the most undeveloped when we got them--no tail, less wings, a bit smaller or equal in size. Now, still smaller than the big EE, but has a red wattles and comb. The EE, on the other hand...heck, I can barely tell there IS a comb! Silly pea combs...

Gotta be a boy barred rock. It's totally different than my females did at the age...much whiter. But also much prettier.
