First time hatch need advice

Ok so I have hatched my first quails can I use pine bedding and and I have a shallow dish for food but not sure about waterer I have a one quart waterer for my chickens will that work for quail

gotta fill it with rocks so as they have to stick their beak in between the rocks to get a drink, otherwise they will drown in it.
