Sit on your hands. Watch the temp and humidity but don't open the bator! The chicks can live 3 day without food or water. This won't be easy. I once had one pipped for 36 hours before zipping. Talk about a nail bitter I was going crazy. I have since had 2 100% hatches!

Good luck new babies are great!

From rocking to pipping could also take awhile. Everyone's incubation will be different. And EVERYONE has their own methods you have to find what works for you. What I found hard in the beginning was opening unhatched eggs with fully developed chicks. It was and still is heartbreaking. I have since gotten much better hatch rates and have fine tuned my incubator as well as the method that works best for me. I watch air sacs to determine how much humidity but have started keeping my humidity much lower than most suggest. Now that works best for me in Middle TN. Ask others in your area where they keep humidity that will help a lot.
Because this is the part that drives me crazy I now set eggs at least an hour past bed time when possible, if one hatches during the night it will wake me bacause the bator is in my bedroom where the dogs are not allowed.
I hatched these cuties out 2 days ago along with 10 others

These are whats left of the 2 batches before the babies

Oh and 40 mostly shipped eggs still in the bator. Hatching is addictive!
2 empty bator looking for eggs! haha

Good luck to everyone with their hatches!
