No, fricasseed cat good!

Ok, so I took the first 20 out of the incubator, and they seem to be doing well.
#21 hatched just as we sealed things back up.

I had to use the broomstick that was holding the hatch-cam above the incubator, so we put the camera INSIDE!
It's actually a pretty cool shot, when #21 walks in front of it.

Unknown how much longer we'll leave things going. We're at exactly 22 days right now.

Here's a blurry phone picture, but I think the cuteness comes through. All 10 appear to be thriving and are eating and drinking well.

I have one slowpoke that just pipped, otherwise looks like this hatch is over. Started with 56 eggs shipped (ordered 50 and got extras). Locked down 42. Had 34 hatch, for hatch rate of 60% of the original shipment. However using chicken math, I only ordered 50, so that would be 68 %

. Ok, maybe not.

Here are some of my little darlings:

Bantam cochin, lemon blue splits

Welsummers and 2 blue laced red wyandottes

Loading up the incubator again tonight, welsummers, banty cochins (lemon blue, red, and blue) and vorwerks, glutton for punishment I guess!

Had to edit math, counted chicks and had 2 more than I thought - not a math genius lol
1 of the welsummers doesn't look so great (last one hatched), and had to cull one due to leg problems. Still they had a 100% hatch rate wow!
