First Time Hatching Anyone With Me??

Since this is my very first hatch, I'm just letting "nature" take it's course for now. He's still moving in there and hopefully he'll make it. There are other pipped eggs and I wouldn't want to risk them. I'm just cheering him on as best I can. Thanks for your support.

I'm trying to deal with the inevitability of losing some if I'm going to be hatching. That's just part of it, I guess. They're just not all going to make it, for whatever reason.
On a lighter note: If I lived up there near you, I'd be giving you some of these ROOSTERS!!!

Well, I got home from work to find 4 additional pips. The first one from this morning has not went any further. I'm hoping it's just resting alot. It is the smallest egg in the batch and I've been worried that it may be too weak to push out.
On the other hand I have a RIR that seemingly can't wait to get out. In less than three hours he has went from pip to a hole around a 1/4" where I can see him/her. If it makes it I think we'll name it Speedy. <G>

Sometimes you just have to try. I helped one of mine and she is doing great. Each time I look at her I am glad I decided to just go for it.

I guess it depends on why they need help, hard to tell sometimes, glad yours is ok!
