Hello I bought 7 Muscovy duck eggs from a local duck breeder to hatch and I'm trying to find more info on hatching them. I read the Muscovy hatching info but wondering If anyone else has any tips and tricks. Whats a good humidity level to start w and temperature. Also would it be better to use my auto turner or no?? the eggs seem huge compared to my chicken eggs . Thx in advance for any advice!!!

Feel like this do ya wwell that is normal ...

Yes an automatic turner is best to work with as you do not need to open the incubator several times a day and not worry about if you forgot to turn them ......

What temp and humidity setting did you get from the hatching trends ......???????

What kind of incubator are you using ????????

I read in an article here to start w a dry hatch and weigh the eggs but I don't have a scale and didn't realize how much of a challenge I got myself into lol.

Without any water or heat on them yet the incubator is set at about 80 degrees and 60% humidity.

Very good incubator you have to work with ....

To start you will want your plugs in the air vents for seven days this starves the embryo of oxygen and it fights to grow and after day seven remove the plugs ....

Use your auto turner and after day seven or ten spray the egg's with warm water this will make the shell brittle and helps the duckling open the egg.....

Still air 102 F degrees .........

Circulated air 99.5 F degrees ........
