first time incubating, first set of eggs went in about an hour ago

I am trying to hatch my first group of eggs also. I am having trouble with keeping the temp regulated. Does any one have any suggestions?

hmmm

do you have a wafer or ??? you might need to replace the wafer.
is the room your bator is in a fairly consistent temp?

yes, I still have trouble sleeping when I know they are hatching.

I get up and check them MANY times during the night!!

I know if I do this again I will put a jar of Warm water in that is supose to help keep the temp reg.
I have 8 BC that are supose to hatch but I bet they wont.

My friend had them in her inc and it got to 102 she thinks for two days. I know the other ones I brought home they where gone.

So I just home with these that they where at a different stage and will be ok.. Hay but I do have another doz in there and they look great I guess.

Just hope something hatches here on the 1st.

all is well so far, im fighting myself to leave my eggs alone, im worse then a little kid lol. my temp is regulated i left my bator on for a few days til it stayed a steady temp, mine is around 100. i am glad to have such helpful byc helping out.

got 12 little black copper and blue coppers marans hatching tonight... I wish they could be yours!

I also have some Lavender ameraucanas babies hatching.. those I will be keeping but the marans, I will just be putting on Craigslist.

Hey Melissa, I just wanted to check on you and yours. Glad to hear all is well so far. Everything is steady here, temp and humidity.Only thing that is not okay is ME. I'm so excited about being a new mommie! I have only 9 in my bator, as this is only a test run. How many do you have goin' ?

I'm a first time hatcher too. Mine were put in on Saturday evening. Today I added goose eggs and tomorrow I will add more Peafowl and Silkie eggs. We'll see what happens. I may just go buy another bator to add the new ones to.
