I am looking to put about a dozen eggs in my incubator tomorrow and was curious about something. What do y'all do after the eggs hatch and notice you have more roosters than you need? I have read that most suggest a set ratio of roosters to hens but what if I exceed that number? I was just wondering what your suggestion would be. I currently have 4 buff orpington and 3 barnvelder hens.

Here's what I do with my extra quail roos...

I don't mind culling if needed, but could the extra roosters get aggressive trying to fight over the hens or would that start at a certain age for them?

Cockerel as they are called till they pass a year will have pecking order fought for
with winner and looser look in the area you live as there may be poultry auctions if you do not want to cull
